On a recommendation of a friend, I was directed to a popular Fort Collins pizza place to try a menu item I would have normally skipped.

Fort Collins, Colorado is no stranger to unique takes on classic food.  But I've never seen anything (not even in my college days) quite like this!

After more than 15 years in its Old Town Square location, Beau Jo's Pizza is moving. Now it looks like the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority will give approval to a new building design for the new restaurant.

Yes, it is moving. But don't worry, you can still get your pizza fix from this popular pizza joint without going to far. It was announced today by the Beau Jo's vice president, Pam Friedentag, that the Old Town Square location will be moved to the corner of College and Laporte Avenue...

I could barely believe how bad of a competitive eater I was. When I agreed to be in the contest, I thought it would end up like most of the other new things that I try. Sometimes I stumble at the beginning, but after getting the hang of it, I generally do pretty well. Plus, I've been eating my whole life, so it's not like this is something new to me.

As I am writing this, I still feel the effects of eating that much pizza. Ugh. But man was it worth it. I now know that Beano and I can't eat 30" of pizza. That is a good knowledge to have!

The Great Colorado Pie Fight is only days away, and it's no secret that I'm really excited! I can't wait to sample all the different pizzas that are going to be at our fingertips. I've been thinking a lot about which toppings I would like to see the most at the event; and there are definitely more than a few. It got me thinking, though: Which topping do I want on my pizza the most; not just at the pie fight, but in life?
