The La-Z-Boy Great Colorado Pie Fight is just over a week from now and I have pizza on the brain. Thinking about all the pizza I'm going to eat at the pie fight got me thinking about some of the pizza commercials I remember from my youth. Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?

Can anyone honestly say they've forgotten about the old Little Ceasars Pizza tagline of, "Pizza, pizza?" I didn't think so. (And those puppets were treading the line between cute and creepy!)

Ahh, Pizza Hut. I think I've seen more of your pizza ads in my life than most other pizza makers combined. And I'm pretty sure there was not a household I knew of that didn't have one of these Igloo jugs in it at some point.

Avoid the Noid! I loved the Noid from the Domino's Pizza ads when I was a kid. I didn't even like their pizza back then, but I loved the Noid. (Did you you know he had his own video game?) When I look back at the Noid now, he's annoying...and slightly disturbing.

Godfather's Pizza is one of those places I remember hearing about, and is one of the first places mentioned when people talk about pizza places they miss, but I honestly can't remember actually ever eating Godfather's pizza. Strange. (I think my brother even worked at one!)

Shakey's Pizza was the coolest place in the world, as far as 7-year-old me was concerned. A pizza buffet, an arcade, cinnamon/sugar pizza,  and the best dang fried potato slices money could buy. I'm afraid to ever go back to one, I'm afraid it might tarnish my memories of it.

We didn't ever really have Bagel Bites in my house. (Probably a good move on my parents' part). But those commercials sure made me think I was missing out on tons of fun, wholesome, goodness.

"What do you want on your Tombstone?" Tombstone Pizza is one of the few food manufactures that actually capitalized on a death joke with one of their ad campaigns. This one, however, took aim at a woman with "loose pizza morals", and it's awkwardly memorable for all the wrong reasons.

There was another home-baked pizza commercial that I remember that I can't seem to find anywhere. I swear there was an old Red Baron pizza  commercial where "The Baron" would appear in a woman's kitchen for a romantic dinner with her once she popped his pizza in the oven. (Wow, that sounds dirty.)

I'm wondering if I am confusing my late 80's/early 90's commercials, or if those commercials have just been wiped from existence entirely. Do you remember those commercials at all? Tell me I'm not crazy!

What other pizza commercials stick out in your memory? Leave 'em in the comments below.
