Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Warns High Park Fire Victims of Possible Damage Inspection Scam

Consumer experts almost always say you should never have to pay for services upfront, it's a major red flag. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has received reports of individuals seeking to charge High Park Fire victims fees of up to $700 to verify whether or not their structure were damaged by the fire.  It is not known if these solicitors are offering legitimate building inspection services, or if they are attempting some type of fraud.

Colorado High Park Fire’s Path of Destruction Reminds Me of a Tornado’s Indescribable Path [PICTURES]

On Wednesday, I took a guided tour of the High Park Fire. As Poudre Fire Authority guided me along the fire's path of destruction and loss, it reminded me of how the Windsor Tornado traveled over four years ago, behaving in similar fashion when destroying some property, while leaving other property right next door untouched.
