food bank for larimer county

The Food Bank for Larimer County needs your help and is asking for donations of frozen turkeys.

If you love food, than you should probably circle March 1st-14th on your calendar because you'll probably be going out to eat in Fort Collins...a lot. Great Plates Of Downtown 2013 starts Friday March 1st. It's a great excuse to try a ton of restaurants that you've never tried before, or just to return to your favorite haunts. The Weld Food Bank is still in desperate need of frozen turkey for the holiday season. Volunteers will be at Wal-Mart Supercenter stores until 2 p.m. today collecting turkeys so they can fulfill all of their requests for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is only a week away now, and both food banks in Northern Colorado are in critical need of frozen turkey's to meet the communities needs. As someone who feels fortunate to get to spend Thanksgiving in a nice warm home surrounded by family and good food, I ask that you help feed those who are less fortunate this holiday season.
