Wake Surfing Colorado – Carter Lake [PHOTOS, MAP]

Carter Lake sits in the northern foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just west of Berthoud, Colorado. Fisherman and sport boaters alike love this beautiful mountain lake.

It is less crowded than Horsetooth Reservoir, another popular boating destination for Northern Coloradoans, because it is further away from Fort Collins, the biggest city in the area.

Carter Lake is great for wake surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, towing tubes, and all kinds of other water sports.
