Wind and heavy snow from Wednesday’s blizzard caused scores of power outages all along the Front Range. At one point 290,000 people were without power.
Seven City of Loveland crews are working with chain saws, front end loaders, dump trucks, pickups and bucket trucks to clear city streets and public right-of-way of fallen and overhanging branches. Crews are first dealing with what appears to be the hardest hit area; from Taft to Boise between Eisenhower and First Street.
