City of Loveland Tree Cleanup

Seven City of Loveland crews are working with chain saws, front end loaders, dump trucks, pickups and bucket trucks to clear city streets and public right-of-way of fallen and overhanging branches. Crews are first dealing with what appears to be the hardest hit area; from Taft to Boise between Eisenhower and First Street.

Crews are also checking operation of all city traffic signals and school zone signals.

The City of Loveland is responsible for trees overhanging the public right-of-way. Homeowners are responsible for trees located on their property.

The City of Loveland will not remove broken branches from private property. These branches should not be placed at the curb for pick up. Do not drag branches to the curb as the City will not pick up branches curbside following this storm. Residents who require assistance can call a commercial tree-trimming company or a landscape maintenance company for help in branch trimming and cleanup.

Residents may dispose of broken branches and limbs at the City’s Recycling Center located at 400 N. Wilson Avenue. The center is open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day until further notice. There is no charge to city residents with a current, 2011 yard debris permit. Non-city residents are also welcome to dispose of branches for a nominal fee.

Small limbs and branches may be placed in resident’s yard debris carts as well. Yard cart collection continues through November 30th.
