The great thing about art is that we can express ourselves in endless ways. Feeling inspired by Grumpy Cat? Paint a detailed portrait of Tardar Sauce-- we won't judge. Or maybe 'Star Wars' gets you all jazzed. Heck, make a Lego scene to reflect those feelings! It's all fun in our books, and we're especially fans of the offbeat type of art, like that of the banana variety.

Mosaic artist Jason Mecier believes when you call a celebrity “trashy,” you should mean it. As part of his Celebrity Junkdrawers collection, Mecier makes incredibly creative portraits of stars using things the rest of us would normally throw away (one man’s trash is another man’s…Kathy Griffin visage).

Once again downtown Fot Collins comes alive with live performance throughot downtown. It's called Streetmosphere.

The Poudre River Gallery is hosting the 3rd Annual NoCo Show during the month of March. The exhibit, featuring work from 15 Northern Colorado artists, opens March 3, with an opening reception during Fort Collins Gallery Walk, Friday, March 4, 6-9 pm.

Well I'm hesitant to even post this, but I thought it would be of interest to John Lennon fans. Viktor Mitic calls himself an artist. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. He's created a portrait of John Lennon. That in and of itself is not all that unusual. It's the "how" that's gotten people's attention.
