Susan Sidetracks on Roads Named For Presidents – Do You Know Where She Is?

Introduction

Directions, they are not everyone’s cup of tea; that’s my philosophy! If you’ve listened over the years you probably know that every so often I get a little lost at times; it’s that whole getting old and becoming senile syndrome. At least that’s what I say, but other people tell me that it’s nothing new and I’ve been a little dazed and confused for years. I get more than just a little flack from everyone here at the station for everything from my parking skills to always being lost, thus they have inspired me to start taking pictures during my adventures. When I find myself in a conundrum I just send them a photo to a friend and say HELP! They are nice enough to lend a hand but honestly I think they are getting a little tired of the constant nagging so I’m asking for your backup. Remember that old song by The Police, Sending Out An SOS, well yeah it’s pretty much my theme song.

Each week I’m going to put up a picture from one of my aimless wanderings to see if you can identify where in the heck I am at! Just put your guesses in the facebook comments section below and next week I’ll reveal the location I found myself in along with another clue to where I am lost.

This Week’s Clues

The craigslist ad said ‘Horse Hay for Sale’ on Taft in Loveland. I’m so on it! This mission calls for my hay truck, Gertie. She also pulls the harrow. She’s a 1980 Silverado with 41,000 miles on a rebuilt tranny, AM radio-sometimes, roll up windows, and AC that will not hold a charge. She’s perfect!

We head south from Timnath on CR5, cross over the interstate on Kechter, meander to Trilby and stay on it heading west to Taft. We like the back roads.
We finally hit Taft, turn south on it and figure we’ve got it made…until…the road
sign said we were on Wilson. WHAT!?!?! In the confusion I wish I’d paid attention in history class.

At this point we make a U turn and head back north to find someone who can give us directions to Taft in Loveland. I’m told Taft in Fort Collins becomes Wilson in Loveland, while Shields in Fort Collins becomes Taft in Loveland…really? Do you know where I stopped to get directions?
