The Weld Food Bank in Greeley was established in 1982, and is celebrating its 30th birthday. You’re invited to the 80′s themed birthday bash this evening from 5-7pm, with live music by ‘Retro.’ In honor of 30 years they will be selling 30 cent hot dogs, chips, sodas, snow cones, and cotton candy. American Ryan Lochte Wins First Gold for USA
Swimmer Ryan Lochte is the first American to strike gold at the 2012 London Olympics. Lochte took the top spot in the Men’s 400-meter individual medley. Fellow American Michael Phelps finished a surprising fourth. Lochte defeated Phelps in the same event at the US Olympic Trials last month in Omaha.
BREAKING: Aurora Theater Shooting Kills 12, Injures 50
Details continue to emerge from Aurora this morning, following a shooting at at a mall movie theater around 1 a.m. during a showing of ‘Batman: Dark Knight Rises.’ Police said 12 people were killed and another 50 injured.
More than 250 responded to the theater, where one person, recently identified as 24-year-old James Holmes, was taken into custody.
Both I-25 & US 34 Now Fully Open [Updated 2:18am]
2:18am – US 34 is now open five miles west of Loveland where it had been closed since 6pm Saturday for mudslide cleanup. All lanes of I-25, both NB and SB are also open near Danono after being closed Saturday evening due to standing water.

Official ‘High Park Fire’ Information [UPDATED 11:18am]
The High Park Fire, first reported June 9th fifteen miles west of Fort Collins, is being reported as 45% contained. As of the last update the fire had grown to 82,000+ acres, and new evacuations have been ordered for the area. Several roads remain closed, one fatality has been confirmed, and 191 homes have been destroyed. There are now more than 1900 firefighters on the ground battling the blaze.
Tigers Shut Out Rockies 5-0 in Series Finale
It was another quiet day at the plate as Colorado Rockies (25-40) hitters struck out 13 times, and were unable to produce any runs en rout to a 5-0 road loss in the interleague series finale against the Detroit Tigers (32-34) yesterday afternoon in Motown. The Rockies are off today before opening a three-game series in Philadelphia tomorrow night.

Quiet bats, and no runs for the first eight innings ended in a Colorado Rockies (25-39) 4-1 interleague road loss yesterday afternoon against the Detroit Tigers (31-34). The lone Colorado run came on a Detroit error in the ninth. The rubber game of the series is at 11:05 MT today at Comerica Park (TV: Root Sports).
Rockies End Skid With 12-4 Win At Detroit
The Colorado Rockies (25-38) ended an eight game losing streak, and picked up their first interleague win in ten tries, with a 12-4 win over the Detroit Tigers (30-34) last night in Motown. The game was tied before Colorado put up eight runs in the top of the tenth. The two teams face off again this afternoon at 2:05 MT in Detroit (TV: Root Sports).
Rockies Fall to A’s 8-2, Swept for Second Straight Series
The highest scoring team in the National League couldn’t get the bats going this afternoon, as the struggling Colorado Rockies (24-38) fell to the Oakland Athletics (29-35) 8-2 this afternoon in Denver, completing a sweep by the opposition for the second straight series. The Rockies face the Detroit Tigers (30-33) tomorrow night at Comerica Park.
