After a complete garden renovation and a few years off from tending my own plot, this year I am going after a bountiful harvest with renewed resolve! Really, the major work in gardening comes at the beginning. Putting all the plants in takes the majority of the work. It's also the most fun! After that, water, weed and water, and that's pretty much what gardening consists of.

I planted a little bit early because of a warmer spring, shortly after, more weeds than I expected popped out. I mean it was epic weeding time, and it almost derailed my efforts. But I finally found that magic Sunday that I could devote 100% to the garden.

And now, here is my first tomato! I know it's small...it's supposed to be small! I'll bet it will still be delicious!
