High Park Fire Causes Air Quality Problems [INTERVIEW]

Colorado Department of Health Website is reporting an Action Day Alert for the Front Range Urban Corridor. This stretches from El Paso County north to Larimer and Weld counties and includes the Denver-Boulder area, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Greeley as air quality is being negatively affected by the High Park Fire burning 15 miles from Fort Collins. It has expanded to over 36,000 acres.

I spoke with Lucinda Smith from the Environmental Services department of the City of Fort Collins about the air quality situation due to the High Park Fire. She related how people can stay informed about the current air quality condition, now and year round.
