If you’ve ever longed to spend way too much money on a historical (and very morbid) experience, then have I got news for you!

The 100th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the Titanic is coming up on April 14th, and Cullen’s restaurant in Houston is offering a unique culinary experience to commemorate the occasion: a four-hour, ten-course meal based on what passengers of the Titanic ate on the night of the fateful iceberg collision that sank the ship.  Again, kinda morbid.

For just $12,000 you and 11 of your closest friends sit at an executive table suspended above the restaurant floor, and enjoy ten courses that have been heavily researched and painstakingly created to be as authentic to Titanic as possible.  You’ll even get to sample a bottle of 1900 brandy!

According to Bornrich, the French-style courses include oyster hors d’oeuvres, poached salmon, and waldorf pudding, to name a few.

I don’t care how fancy it is, I don’t think I would be able to get over the fact that, 100 years ago, someone had the exact same meal as a last supper.  What do you think?
