The 2016 election season is upon us, and although it only seems like we have a new president to elect, there are numerous measures, and candidates on the ballots all vying for your vote.

First things first, you must be registered to vote. You can check your registration status here.

In Colorado, you have until October 31st to get registered to vote but Election Day registration is available as with most things getting registered before Election Day will cause way fewer headaches for everyone.

"I'm not registered, what do I do?" Go here. It's pretty simple if you have a Colorado Driver's License. If not, there are some additional forms to fill out, but it's not the end of the world. To get registered, click here.

You're registered. You checked your status. All systems are a go. Where do you go to drop off your ballot? The Larimer County Clerk's office has a full listing of places. To find out where you go to vote, either in person or ballot drop-off, click here.

Not going to be around to vote? Vote absentee. To register absentee, you must have your updated voter registration/mailing address by October 31. All active voters are mailed a ballot, so no ballot request needed.

A list of candidates and measures on the Colorado ballot can be found here.
