If you have not received your ballot, check here, to make sure you are registered to vote. You still have time before the election on November 8th.

Officials want to remind you that taking selfies of completed ballots and posting them to social media is a crime in Colorado.

The law states, “No voter shall show his/her ballot after it is prepared for voting to any person in such a way as to reveal its contents.”

Colorado is not the only state that has that law in place, and according to the Denver District Attorney, the violation would be a misdemeanor.

The law is in place to guard against potential voter fraud.

The DA did not say whether or not anyone has been prosecuted for posting a completed ballot online but why take the chance, right?
