Election Ballots Due By 7PM Tonight, Drive-Through Drop Offs Available
Today is Election Day. Ballots must be received by 7PM tonight to be counted, meaning it's too late to put them in the mail.
Both Fort Collins and Loveland have set up drive-through ballot drop-off sites.

Poudre Valley REA Update Friday 10/28/2011
7:00 a.m. October 28 Outage Update
Poudre Valley REA crews worked through the night to restore power to the co-op's grid. As of 7:00 a.m. Friday morning approximately 750 homes remained without electricity. 700 of those are concentrated near Lyons along and east of the foothills highway. The other 50 are scattered single outages throughout the 2,000 square mile service territory.
Loveland Power Outage Update
By working throughout the night, power has been restored to all except 16 Loveland customers, with most of those remaining outages in Big Thompson Canyon. It’s possible there are a few additional outages that Loveland Water & Power (W&P) is unaware of.
City of Fort Collins Tree Limb Clean-up Schedule
The City of Fort Collins is currently working with community partners including Colorado State University, Larimer County, and others on community clean-up efforts. The City will offer no-cost branch removal and recycling assistance to all residents beginning Monday, Oct. 31; work is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
Fort Collins – Loveland – Boulder – Denver Power Outages
There are still some homes in Northern Colorado without power.
Xcel energy says they anticipate all customers will have service restored by this afternoon.
School Closure for Friday 10/28/2011
BIG THOMPSON ELEMENTARY is the only closure for Friday.

City of Loveland Tree Cleanup
Seven City of Loveland crews are working with chain saws, front end loaders, dump trucks, pickups and bucket trucks to clear city streets and public right-of-way of fallen and overhanging branches. Crews are first dealing with what appears to be the hardest hit area; from Taft to Boise between Eisenhower and First Street.

SHELTER SET UP FOR THOSE WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
The American Red Cross set up a shelter for families who needed a warm place to spend the night until electricity is restored to their homes.
With thousands of people affected by power outages on the coldest night of the season so far, the American Red Cross has opened four warming shelters for northern Colorado residents.
