When measles break out at Disney, tensions run high.

The debate over whether vaccinations are a good idea for newborns, and humans overall, has been running hot for a long time. Lately, the discussion has moved to social media, with people sharing the views of leaders on both sides of the argument, as well as their own.

The article being shared and shown to me last week was from the Arizona cardiologist and his angry reply to the pro-vaccine community. He said he was responding to their attacks.

On another hand, the Centers for Disease Control wants us to know that we'll have to explain to people that our child has not had the suggested vaccinations for his/her age any time that they are ill and we have to:

• call 911

• ride in an ambulance

• visit a hospital emergency room

• visit your child’s doctor or any clinic you must tell the medical staff that your child has not received all the vaccines recommended for his or her age.

Keep a vaccination record easily accessible so that you can report exactly which vaccines your child has received, even when you are under stress.

Sarah and I wanted to bring some levity to the situation, while still asking what you thought, because honestly, we see merits on both sides of the coin and are still making decisions as to if and when we'll do it.
