Underground Bar Coming to Old Town Square in Fort Collins

If you've walked down Mountain Avenue near Old Town Square in Fort Collins recently, you've probably noticed a new set of stairs under construction, leading underground.  I had heard murmurs here and there that a new business was moving into an underground space around there, but now we have some real details...

A new bar called "Social" will be occupying the underground space, according to the Coloradoan.  It sounds like it's going to be something completely unique.

The bar itself will display a large block of ice that bartenders will chip off to make drinks, along with mobile phone charging stations. Light will come from hanging Edison light bulbs, and some of the food will be prepared sous vide style — sealed in a pouch and cooked gently in hot water under strictly controlled conditions.

I'm all for trying something new, as long as it's actually good.  If it get's too weird and out of the box, then count me out!

It should be interesting to see what Social ends up being like...
