The Most Iconic Hairstyles of the Last 50 Years

The salon chain Toni & Guy commissioned a survey to mark its 50th anniversary, in which it polled 2,000 women in the U.K. to find out which stars they felt had sported the most memorable hairdos over the years.  Cher, Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Lady Gaga were among those who landed on the list, along with Sinead O'Connor, Olivia Newton-John, The Beatles, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, and two Spice Girls.

Number one? She's above. Audrey Hepburn.

Of course the Beatles mop tops made the list.

The survey made era specific choices. Tina Turner's hair circa the Ike and Tina era (the 70's flat and straight look) was pretty iconic, but she made the list for her massive 80's hair.
