The Fray have played a lot of gigs since they grew from the biggest bands in Denver to one of the biggest in the world. After having some of the most successful singles of this millenium, a Grammy nominated single, and a great decade, they are going to ring in 2014 on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

Their new record, Helios, drops in February, and the band is very excited for a great year.

Isaac Slade of the Fray talked to ABC Radio about their upcoming performance.

"It's one of those shows that's just been around forever," Isaac says of playing the annual telecast, which has been airing for more than 40 years. "And when we heard that we got the gig...it was crazy.  'Cause, we do a lot of cool stuff, and sometimes it's things we've heard of, [but] usually, they're first-time things.  But for this, it's a perennial.  It's awesome!"
