Teacher Tuesday Winner Shares So Much More Than Science [VIDEO]

The student who nominated our Teacher Tuesday winner this week did it because of the support she offered during some hard times.

Maya Willie is a science teacher. She obviously also has a lot of compassion, and understanding for what her students need.

Here is the email entry that earned her the award.

My teacher is very patient with my class. She is persistent in trying again and again. My class gives her the hardest time but she still teaches us the content we need to know. She makes science fun and makes it easy to understand. All her tests are based on exactly what we learned so there are no curve balls. She also supports students in time of need. My cousin actually died recently and mrs. Wyllie helped me get through it and gave me hugs everyday. She was understanding with the work load and if i turned things in a little late. Wyllie is an outstanding teacher and that is why she deserves to win this award.
