Four months after Colorado decided to allow marijuana for recreational use, Larimer County will get its first pot shop. Yesterday (March 17th) county commissioners unanimously approved licenses allowing Choice Organics to grow and sell recreational marijuana.
As Colorado continues to figure out this whole legal pot thing this will be a continuing theme. The bills that went into law today (March 17) actually don't really affect consumers at all, but instead those in the marijuana industry.
With the passing of amendment 64 and the legalization of recreational marijuana, a lot of questions were raised about people that had been convicted of possessing small amounts of marijuana.Well, the Colorado Court of Appeals now says some of those convictions can be overturned.
A big announcement came today when Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper released his proposed spending plan for money collected by the state as a result of the legalization of recreational marijuana in the state.
