A 21-year-old Fort Collins woman has been arrested after an alleged hit and run that sent a 14-year-old girl to the hospital. The collision took place near the intersection of Orchard Place and Timber Lane in North Fort Collins on Monday, July 27th at 1:13pm.

The driver of a 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser initially stopped, but fled the scene prior to emergency responders arriving. The 14-year-old victim was taken to Poudre Valley Hospital and was transferred to Children’s Medical Center in Denver with serious injuries.

The owner of the Land Cruiser, Samantha Bush of Fort Collins was arrested at her place of employment on charges of Careless Driving resulting in injury, Failure to Give Notice or Render Aid, and False Reporting.
