Should Pixar Make a ‘Star Wars’ Movie? [POLL]

Some news came out today that will make some cringe, and others jump for joy.

ScreenCrush is reporting that Disney has charged Pixar with developing a “Star Wars” film.

The exact nature of this project remains unknown, but the possibilities are seemingly limitless. The ‘Star Wars’ universe is as vast as anything in all of fiction, so all the folks at Pixar have to do is find one corner of that universe that they find interesting and tell a good story.

I gotta admit, I’m not sure how to feel about this.  On one hand, Pixar has made some incredible movies; so you’d think they would do just as well in a universe as vast and detailed as “Star Wars.”

On the other hand, I’d sort of rather see more original work from Pixar.  Also, giving a licensed property to a company that thrives on originality could be a giant shot in the foot.

Hmm…what do you think?
