Did you know that the practice of handshaking has been around since the 2nd Century B.C.? Today is National Handshaking Day. Experts say that your handshake says a lot about you. So what does your handshake say?

Psychology Today provides these insight into handshakes:

  • Handshakes that are too hard make you seem forceful.
  • Handshakes that are too weak seem noncommittal.
  • For best results, wipe the sweat from your palm, keep you palm sideways, and aim for “moderate firmness.”

So go ahead, and shake a few extra hands today! The last Thursday in June is National Handshaking Day.
