NOTICE: Judged Trail Ride rescheduled to October 19th,   Due the heavy rains LCHA had to cancel the Judged Trail Ride for September 14th. The new date is October 19th. Same place, same time. All information is the same.

Saturday's forecast is 30 degrees early in the morning, warming to near 60 and sunny.
Lily, my Arabian mare, and I will be layered up and ready to ride with YOU and the Larimer County Horseman's Association.

It's  their 2nd Annual Judged Trail Ride, registration opens at 8:30 this Saturday morning at Eltuck picnic area at Lory State Park. RSVP is required to Susan at 970-663-6738 but membership to the club is not necessary to participate and have fun.

What is a judged trail ride?  There will be  judges at several stations on the way, and
they will give you points on how well you accomplish a task at the station. The obstacles have not been determined, but you can expect to encounter things that you would see on
a trail ride, such as a scary rock, a gate, narrow spaces, moving objects,
etc...At the end of the ride, the judges will add all your points from the various stations.

There are great prizes, including a $200 gift certificate to GREELEY HAT WORKS!!

The ride starts at 9:30 with the last rider/group at 11.  Bring a chair, lunch for you and your horse, water bucket, and manure fork.

The cost is $25 per horse and rider and is tax deductible because this is a fund
raising event for the Larimer County Horseman's Association.

The group is big on doing trail maintenance in our horse friendly Larimer County,  ensuring
the future of equine opportunities.  Find out more: L.C.H.A.
