Reminder From the City of Loveland: Igniting Personal Fireworks Is Prohibited in Loveland and All of Colorado
The City of Loveland wants to remind us that personal fireworks are illegal in Loveland and all of Colorado. Due to an executive order by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, the use of personal fireworks in the City of Loveland and throughout the state of Colorado is prohibited until further notice.
Loveland’s annual July 4th fireworks celebration at North Lake Park will be presented as planned.
According to Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper’s State of Colorado Executive Order D 2012-015 issued June 14, open burning--including the use of personal fireworks--is prohibited in the State of Colorado until such time as the executive order is amended or rescinded. The sale of traditionally legal fireworks in Loveland remains legal but igniting those fireworks is now banned due to the executive order.
