Earlier today reports were coming in that there was a death at Prince’s estate in Chanhassen, MN, but the identity of the person had not been announced. Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud said he would not comment on whether or not Prince was involved. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene after a call was made, stating someone was not breathing.

We are now learning it was Prince.

If you remember in the last few weeks, Prince’s plane made an emergency landing to take him to the hospital, but he was live in concert the next day and assured fans he was okay. His reps said he had been battling the flu and was briefly hospitalized in Moline, IL. Prince did cancel two performances on April 7th and after the hospitalization, returned home.

Prince had one of my all-time favorite Super Bowl Halftime Shows.
