Not only was it the rainiest day in recent memory, I also lost my keys.

I think they fell off my belt, where they are often clipped in an insecure manner, as pictured above. Gravity usually keeps them on my belt when my caribiner isn't clipped all the way.

Since I was all over Old Town for meetings and coffee and shopping, I had to retrace my steps to try to get myself out of there. In the pouring rain. It was a great test of my patience and belief that all will always be well.

After I didn't find them at the most likely places (Mugs, where my meeting had taken place, and the Bean Cycle, where I'd removed my jacket) I didn't give up.

I had spares for my car and home. The problem was my motorcycle key. There is only one of those, because they don't make copies of that at standard places like Ace, where I get all my other keys copied.

So, I gave up, called the cavalry(my wife with the spares) and figured that whatever it cost would be what it cost.

When things like that happen, I often wonder if the Universe kept me from my car to keep me out of an accident, or in some tother way aligned to work for me, even though it seems like things are going all wrong, and feels like an activity in frustration.

Besides cursing myself a few times for stupidity, I moved on, breathed, and waited in a very soggy state for my spare keys and dry clothes to arrive.

Worrying is negative goal setting.

Those are words of wisdom from one of my coaches. I thought the motorcycle key could run me up to $500. I chose not to worry about it. What's the point? If I have to pay it, I have to pay it. If not, supro dupro.

Well, when I arrived in the studio this morning, I had this email waiting for me.

This is Philip from Miramont Lifestyle Fitness. I recieved a call from someone who found some keys with a miramont scan card on them, so they called us and asked if we could get in contact with whomover they belonged to. When typing in the scan card number your name came up, so hopefully they're yours. You'll be able to pick them up from Mawson Lumber in old town. Please give me a call if you have any questions. I tried calling the number we have on file for you, but the gentleman that answered said I had the wrong number so we may need to update that for you.

So, today, I'm going to go get my keys, and update my phone information at Miramont. And make plans to shop at Mawson Lumber. Oh, and thank the heavens for people who care to help strangers.
