Olive Oil Store in Old Town Fort Collins Now Offers Wine Tasting

Two local companies are teaming up to offer customers a match made in heaven: wine and olive oil.

Rocky Mountain Olive Oil Company, with it's shop and tasting room at 114 N. College Ave., has partnered with LaPorte's Ten Bears Winery to offer wine tasting paired with the company's already popular olive oil and vinegar selections.

(Rocky Mountain Olive Oil owner Nichole Chrisanti) said the two companies plan to offer regular tastings, hopefully eventually expanding to include cheeses from The Welsh Rabbit. Like wine grapes, where and how olives are grown can significantly change how the final product tastes, she said. The tastings will allow customers to see exactly how wines, vinegar and oils pair with different foods.
