It’s that time of year again, folks: the sun is high in the sky, the Poudre is flowing, and Taste of Fort Collins is nearly upon us. With that comes NoCo's Best! Like the amazing audience you are, we asked and answered with your top three finalists in the sandwich category. We had an opportunity to sample our finalists and wanted to share the amazing experiences we had.

First up we have Choice City Butcher & Deli. If the name didn’t already tell you, it is an excellent combination of a deli as well as a Butcher Shop. We were lucky enough to try both the Italian and Philly Sandwiches. Personally, I'm a big fan of Philly’s, and this one could not have been any better. The steak was flavorful and the onions were grilled just right. The provolone cheese was fresh and a great complement to the rest of the sandwich. For anyone who likes a good Philly I highly recommend you check them out.

Next up, we have everyone's favorite weed-themed sandwich shop, Cheba Hut. Cheba Hut was actually the first restaurant I ever had in Fort Collins and has always been a favorite. We were able to chow down on both the Sensi Kush and Kali Mist. Both had us watering at the mouths. But for me, the Kali Mist pulled ahead due to its extra spicy kick. Where Cheba hut really shines is in the buns. I have no clue how they do it but they are by far the best buns I’ve had. With multiple locations around Northern Colorado, it won’t be hard for you to find out what I'm talking about.

Moving on from old favorites to brand new ones, we have B&B's Pickle Barrel. I had never had B&Bs before but I will for sure be coming back. We got our hands on their Rueben, Funky Punky, and Toonces, and wow, they blew us away. I absolutely couldn't get enough of the Toonces. The sandwich just melted in my mouth and drenched my taste buds with goodness. The grilled chicken and dill Havarti cheese blend just right. The first bite turned me into a lifelong fan of B&Bs. These guys know how to make a great hot sub.
