Earlier this year Weld County announced that residents would continue to save thanks to reduced mill levy. The office of the Board of Commissioners were proud to be able to keep the mill levy down, resulting in a reduction of $278 million dollars from Weld County tax payers.

  • A county mill levy reduced to 15.8 mills (down over one mill)
  • Value increase primarily from oil and gas production
  • Conclude the design phase of the 20 miles of the four-lane WCR 49 south corridor from US34 to I-76
  • Complete road and bridge mitigation projects resulting from September 2013 flooding
  • Continue to fund a Haul Route Program to improve county roads impacted by the energy industry due to new oil and gas drilling exploration

The final budget for 2015 is expected to be presented October 14, 2014.
