If you are looking to buy local produce and other goodies in Loveland, the Loveland Farmers Market offers up cool shopping, good food and fun for the entire family every Sunday. The weekly Farmers Market is held at Loveland's Fairgrounds Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and you won't just find food, there's more.

The market, which started with just six vendors in its first year, now has 30 vendors who offer a variety of the freshest, locally-grown produce, dairy products and natural meats around, but that’s just the beginning of what this market has to offer. Plus, you'll discover music, face painting and other entertainment that will add to the fun for young and old alike.

About Fairgrounds Park

When the City of Loveland built Fairgrounds Park, among the numerous other amenities, they included plans for a farmers market. The overhead shelters provide vendors and shoppers alike a break from the heat and sun, making for a more comfortable shopping experience. Also, because it is held in the park, kids can go play in the splash park nearby while parents shop.

So what will you find at Loveland's Farmers Market this year?

• Fine teas and gourmet, fair-trade chocolate
• Local artisan cheeses
• Locally produced fine wines
• Gourmet sauces including salsa, hot sauce and pasta sauce
• Locally hand-roasted coffee
• Water color paintings
• Home-made tortillas and tamales
• Artisan breads and pastries
• Local honey

“We really wanted to provide area shoppers with not only top-notch products they’d expect to find at a farmers market like pesticide-free produce, natural meats, those kinds of things, but we looked for items that we thought were really interesting, and even a little off the beaten path."

--Jeanne Boswell, Market Coordinator

The Loveland Farmers Market accepts credit cards, cash and checks and is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 30.
