Three Loveland schools were put on a special status yesterday(Monday, Oct. 6, 2014)

The schools were on 'secured perimeter' yesterday afternoon. Details as of why they were tightening restrictions were unsure. The only thing we knew is that there was police activity in the area.

So what happened?

Loveland police were searching for a person who was involved in a domestic dispute. The schools were not necessarily considered to be a part of the issue, nor were they in any direct danger, except that they were in or near the search area, so the precautions were taken. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, the outer doors to the schools were locked but students and faculty were able to move about the school normally.

As of yesterday afternoon, the 'secured perimeter' status was lifted, and things went back to normal.

The suspect disappeared on foot and is no longer believed to be in the area.
