Join Paul for Northern Colorado Children’s Festival on Saturday

Northern Colorado Children's Festival is on Saturday, and after last year's fun, I am excited to be there again.

The room fills to the brim with things to do for families with kids of all ages. The stage features live entertainment all day, from musicians to dancers and demonstrations, it is the one of the hubs of activity at the event that is put on by the United Way of Weld County.

While I was there, I was totally taken by the amazing array of free and cheap books that they had. Being a kids book author myself, it's amazing to see when an organization makes a commitment to encourage kids to read. Whenever I go to Teacher Tuesday, I always credit my love for books as the most important aspect of preparing me for my amazingly unique and fabulous job. "If you want to be on the radio, it really helps to be well read," I tell them, to nods of approval from every educator in whose presence I've ever said it.

Plus, you do a quick safety check on your car seats, immunization checks, food, drinks and more.
