Investigators Discover Cause of Loveland Office Building Fire
Loveland Fire Rescue Authority investigators have found the cause of the July 9th fire that destroyed a Loveland office building. The fire that leveled Ward Building on North Lincoln originated when a ventilation maintenance worker using grinding equipment accidentally ignited insulation material in the two-story building’s attic.
The handyman used two dry chemical fire extinguishers and a garden hose in an attempt to extinguish the fire, he then removed burned debris from the attic and examined the fire area. He said he felt the fire was out and left the scene after consulting with a building owner.
