Want to see a bald eagle in Fort Collins?

Well, it's a lot easier than it sounds. Many eagles flock here, migrating from colder, northern climes to our area for the winters. They love the abundance of lakes that exist in Northern Colorado. As you can see by the video above, there are many places to see them. I shot that at Windsor Lake. I've spotted them there, Warren Lake, Sheldon Lake at City Park and even just flying over I-25.

Those were chance encounters, but there is a way to see them with a bit of a guarantee.

The City of Fort Collins Natural Areas offers guided eagle watches every Saturday and Sunday through March 1.

All you have to do to enjoy the program is to show up with weather appropriate clothing during the times listed below or on their website.
