The City of Fort Collins will be collecting household hazardous waste items like paint, batteries, flourescent light bulbs and more this Saturday June 2,  and again in September.

The dropoff will be quick and easy. It is located at the northwest corner of Lake and College in the parking lot. Residents may not even need to get out of their cars, as the city will have people there to unload vehicles and they predict the whole process will take about 5 minutes once  you arrive.

I spoke with Errin Henggler Environmental Regulatory Specialist with the City of Fort Collins about the event.

They say the average household will contain about 100 pounds of household hazardous waste that's no longer wanted, so collect it up and bring it down.
