Watching the Harlem Globetrotters is always a fun and exciting thing for the family. Their upcoming event though will be even better when they honor a 'Hometown Hero.'

Sergeant Nicolas Cruz will be honored as a Hometown Hero by the world famous Harlem Globetrotters this Sunday, March 8 when they take on the Washington Generals at 2:00 p.m. at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveleand.

Sergeant Nicolas Cruz holds the rank of Airman First Class with the Wyoming National Guard. A native of Enon, Ohio, Cruz has an associates degree in automotive technology and was the top graduate in his technical training military classes. Cruz is a C-130 Electro-Environmental Technician and assists with recruitment at the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Sergeant Cruz was nominated by Senior Master Sergeant Gail White from Wyoming Air National Guard to be recognized for his service and dedication to his community.

After the game, the Harlem Globetrotter players will be signing autographs for kids young and old and will also take photos with fans who want them. Tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters start at just $20 and are available at the Budweiser Events Center office, ComcastTIX.com or by calling 877.544.8499.
