The High Park Fire is burning all around the Poudre River. Since the start of the fire, whitewater rafting in the canyon has been on hold. While this is rough on rafting companies, some people have lost everything, so it was great to hear Bob Klein of A Wanderlust Adventure keep things in perspective in my interview with him.

You know, it's one of those things that [we're lucky] we didn't have any homes lost, we're not displaced, so it's been bad, but it could be worse. Our hearts go out to all the people who have lost a home, and that are displaced right now. That's what really matters.

Rafting companies are hoping to salvage some sort of season, but have their hearts and thoughts with the well being of fellow residents. One thing is for sure, when that first boat bottom hits that water, it's going to be a great moment because it will mean that the worst is behind us, and the real healing can begin.
