A while back we warned you that Harmony Road in Fort Collins would be closed for up to five days to fix the railroad crossing just west of Timberline Road. Well, we now have dates for the closure and it will only last four days, if all goes as planned.

Read on for details.

The City of Fort Collins just shared the news on Facebook that, starting today, all three lanes of eastbound Harmony are open between Timberline and McMurry. (There have been intermittent closures for repaving.) The westbound lanes should all be open by the morning rush hour this Friday and all six lanes will be open through Colorado State University’s graduation weekend and Memorial Day weekend. (There will be some minor delays in the area on Thursday, May 23rd, from 9AM to 2PM.)

Then, June 1st through 4th, Harmony will be closed in both directions as they replace the rails and all six lanes should be open and ready to use on June 5th.

You can always check real-time traffic updates at FCTrip and they will be posting more details about the project.

But, there it is in a nutshell; all six lanes of Harmony (west of Timberline) will be open by this weekend, some minor delays on May 23rd, and a four-day full-closure June 1st-4th.

You've been warned. :)

Happy travels
