Glade Reservoir has been a hotly debated topic for years in Fort Collins and the surrounding areas.

Advocates claim it will be good for the area, our water future, and will add value. Opponents fear it will negatively affect the flow of the Poudre River, the waterway that will be diverted to fill the reservoir.

Well, a new report from the Army Corps of Engineers is claiming that the negative impacts would be 'negligible.' Northern Water is in agreement with them. According to the video, they believe it could even improve and enhance the river.

There are many opponents of the reservoir that would sit to the north of Horsetooth Reservoir, tucked into the first foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Save the Poudre is against the measure, and doesn't approve of the Army Corps of Engineers assessment.

Whether or not you agree with this finding, the new 1,500 page report from the Army COE might be a step closer to installing the body of water just past the Forks turnoff, north of Ted's Place off 287.
