It's been a rocky couple years for Fort Collins' only gelato cafe, but maybe this latest owner can turn things around.

The currently shuttered Gelazzi, at 128 S. College Ave., has found a new owner in CSU alumnus Gabriel Armstrong, according to the Coloradoan.  Armstrong, who also owns The Crooked Cup at 147 W. Oak St., says Gelazzi should be reopening later this month.

(Armstrong) envisions a family atmosphere, with gelato during the day, transitioning to a date-night dessert and drinking spot by evening.

Customers can expect to see creative drinks, such as whiskey pumpkin spice chai and espresso cream martinis.

As I've said before, I don't go to Gelazzi very often; but every time I have gone, I've really enjoyed it.

What do you think?  Will this new owner break Gelazzi's streak of bad luck?  Let us know in the comments!
