Ever since the first mention of it, I've remained curious about just how far the initiative to form a 51st state will go.  This could potentially be a historic time, for America as well as Colorado; so I guess that's why I'm so interested in news surrounding this idea of "North Colorado."

Along those lines, there is going to be a forum to discuss the upcoming 51st state ballot initiative.

The forum is scheduled for Monday, October 14th, in the Hensel Phelps Theatre at the Union Colony Civic Center.

The forum, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Greeley/Weld County, will begin at 7 p.m. Monday and will include Weld County commissioners Sean Conway and Barbara Kirkmeyer, University of Northern Colorado professor emeritus Steve Mazarana and Greeley Water Board member Bob Ruyle.

Even though I live in Larimer County, I'm going to at least try go to this.  It'll be interesting to hear some different viewpoints on this issue.

Will I see you there?
