We are all anxious to be able to go to Old Town Square and not have to deal with construction. Apparently, they are too. A Facebook page called Fort Collins Old Town Square Renovation has been created just to track progress. Now that page is sharing the details of the upcoming celebration of renovation completion. You are invited to join in the fun this Friday, October, 23rd from 5-8pm.

Offical Event Press Release:

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites the Fort Collins community to attend the Old Town Square renovation celebration on October 23, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in Old Town Square.

In celebration of the completion of the new Old Town Square, this open house event kicks off with brief remarks from past and present downtown personalities. Enjoy a variety of entertainment throughout the plaza including a unique and lively performance of Chinese dragon dancers from the CSU Foreign Language & Literature Chinese Club, a rousing live performance on the new stage from Liz Barnez Band, contemporary chamber music from the Fort Collins Chamber Music Society, and opportunities to hear about the historic buildings from Fort Collins Tours.

Stores and restaurants that face the Square will be open for shopping, dining, and celebrating, some with special late night hours.
