Fort Collins is set to receive $1.5 million to help create more affordable and safe housing for those in need. According to the Northern Colorado Business Report, the funds will come from HUD.

Fort Collins will receive $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support community development and provide more affordable housing with funding from HUD’s Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs.

“HUD’s Community Planning and Development funding $923,469 in the CDBG allocation and $599,259 from the HOME program will help provide safe, affordable housing to those in need and vulnerable,” said Rick Garcia, HUD regional administrator.
