The snow fell hard and heavy for a few hours on Sunday, leaving behind thick ice in some places, and drifting snow in others.

Because of the winter driving conditions, Fort Collins Police Services has announced it will be on “Accident Alert” until 6 a.m. Monday.

Drivers involved in minor accidents who are not injured or who don't suspect drug/alcohol use are advised to exchange names, addresses, phone numbers, vehicle license plate numbers and insurance information. Then, they also must come to the Police Services building, 2221 S. Timberline Road, within four days to complete a Colorado accident report.

Northern Colorado should see some sunshine today to begin the melt, and temps will be to the 60's by tomorrow.
