Fort Collins City Council Passes Disposable Bag Fee

On Tuesday night, the Fort Collins City Council passed an amended bag-fee ordinance.  Starting April 1, 2015 a 5-cent fee will be charged on all disposable bags from all retailers. As reported by the Coloradoan, the controversial amended ordinance passed with a vote of 5-2 with Mayor Karen Weikunat and Councilman Wade Troxell who both changing their votes.
