I'm all about silver linings.  But when so much of our community was flooded last year, it was hard to find the bright side.  Until now, that is.

The Coloradoan reports we have the flood to thank for starting the year with nary a drought in sight.

“Our area is completely out of drought and that was largely due to rains that we had in September,” said Wendy Ryan, the assistant state climatologist at Colorado State University’s Colorado Climate Center. “We also got just a year’s worth of precipitation in just a few days.”

My thoughts are still will all the people who lost so much in the flood's devastation, but here's hoping all that water will help us have a great year.
