Explosive Device Discovered at Park in Erie

Mountain View Fire Rescue

Crews responded to a call of a fire at a park in Erie yesterday and now police are asking the public to share any information about an explosive device found in Lehigh Park .

The Boulder County Bomb Squad, along with Mountain View Fire Rescue and Longmont Hazardous Materials crews rushed to the park at Erie Commons after something burst into flames near the pavilion.

The investigation determined someone had attempted to construct an explosive device.
